MISSION: Read about Stephen Hawking’s alien warning. What do you think?

ANALYSIS: I a few articles and learned how Stephen Hawking once warned us that if aliens do stop for a visit, there is a good chance that they will be less than friendly. He talks about the possibility of a more intelligent and technologically advanced race roaming like nomads around the galaxies. They could be looking to utilize our planets resources before moving on to the next victim. He compares their arrival to that of Christopher Columbus - maybe not with the worst intentions, but with horrific outcomes.
What do I think? Certainly possible. However, I’m also thinking that a more intelligent and technologically advanced race may have figured out a way to live that is far more efficient than we can conceptualize at this time. Therefore, if they are somewhat self-sustaining, they may just be looking to explore the universe for answers. If this is the case, we just might not be the target of their ray guns.
